He uses a set of tubes and a 50mm reversed on the end with an adapter, although you can still get very close even without reversing take a look at these two of mine link

Very true Don, but in fairness I do believe that the problem appears worse now simply because we have everyone's news broadcast to everyone's home as all the TV companies have to fill 24 hours of air time. As a result of this if an incident happens in Newcastle I hear about it in South Wales whereas years ago I would not have. Because the news item is now being read out in my living room it appears to my senses to be closer to me and as a result appearing to be more widespread than previously appeared.

I have only offered up one photo as the categories do tend to be obscure on occasion, on the one occasion I offered a picture it was turned down because there were people in the image. This person wanted a sunset of Newgale in West Wales but my offer wasn't quite what she wanted.
