I generally dislike hdr because it's so often used to try and make a silk purse out of a sows ear but the examples there seem to me to be what hdr was intended for and it's used to good effect.

Very talented artist(s) I'm impressed that the paintings have remained untouched by graffiti.

You should keep a back up of your images anyway so find where the program stores them and copy them to another drive. That way it doesn't matter if the software does delete stuff. That said I very much doubt it would delete your images and certainly not without warning you first.

Fantastic shots, all of them. I began to suffer from image overload after a while though, there are just so many excellent pictures there.

I'm asking because mine seems to be getting noisier as the days go by. The shutter seemed whisper quiet when I first got it but now about 3 weeks down the line it's noticably louder with the mirror giving a distinct thump as it moves. I'm worried that something is coming adrift so I'd like to hear from others if possible.

That should be very useful for when the Sun dies

It's interesting that the cold didn't seem to affect the workings of the camera, 45 exposures while frozen has to be good.

Interesting video. I just tried something similar to what he did at 3:330 and rested the lens on my upper left arm while using my left hand to grip my right arm. It felt much more solid.
Tried that myself today and it does work. Left elbow feels a bit out there but it's certainly steady.

I've seen them go for 200 squids on eBay with the kit lens.

Add a pack of desiccating granules to keep any damp away if storing.

Many of the hybrid photo/backpack styles have removable camera inserts.

I bought one of these a couple of weeks back so I could take my camera gear and flask etc. to work without it looking like it holds expensive camera gear. It may not be the look your wife would like and you haven't said if there's a particular use in mind for it but there are other variations on the theme - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/390698240165?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1...

Bottom camera section comes out completely and there's a draw string divider between the top and bottom inside.
