Thanks, folks. Now I've worked out how to do it, there will be more. Something to keep me out of trouble during the long, dark evenings of late autumn and winter... unless Mrs L. wants to use the kitchen.

This one is, to my eye, much more attractive than your second set, Steve! The dark background does not dominate because of the lovely lighting of the subject. Very nice!
