Those graphic monos certainly grab my attention, Lenny - great compositions. I like the processing too, and wonder, along with Haris above, if they are the result of the GR's b+w mode? In any case, you've certainly made good friends with that little wonder of a camera! (I'd buy and use one as my main (only?) camera if it weren't such a wide-angle lens).

I like these Peter (as I do the whole set on flickr). Definitely the kind of place I'd love to spend some time in with a camera.

There's a lovely sense of space in the first four landscapes, Lenny, and the last image is a great synthesis of those and the subsequent cloudscapes (which work great in the nicely processed b+w).

Lovely indeed, Steve, and your perseverence is highly commendable.

I'll add my point of view: the colour one doesn't do much for me. I find the monochrome more mysterious, with its varying shades of grey and the brightness of the center trunk being progressively swallowed into the blackness of the edges - a slightly unreal take on reality, which is something I really enjoy in photography, and often strive for in my own.

Edit: I downloaded the original to have a go at it, and that brought to my attention your keen eye; you managed to crop a decent composition out of it, whereas I would have chucked it out after a few seconds' pondering... So definitely a great postprocessing job on your part! (so I gave up on trying my luck )

Missed these too, Gary. Really like the first image, I'm definitely being drawn far out into the distance - adventure time! Nice graphic play in #3 also.

A right moody set, Gareth, strong lines throughout. And I particularly like how the wide angle has rendered that left-hand tree in #2.
