I use an external hard-drive and a handy little free program by Microsoft, Synctoy

I also periodically burn them to DVD.

I personally prefer a nice simple backup process, the more complicated it is the more likely it is to go wrong IMHO

I've decided that I prefer the flexibility of zoom lenses so I'm selling my Prime Pentax F 28mm (autofocus)

Asking price is £190 including RMSD - (I only sell within the U.K)

In very good condition, no scratches etc on the glass...I'll post photos tomorrow

Any questions please PM me

Thanks

I bought one some time ago with the intention of replacing both my DA17-70 & DA55-300, I still have both as my own view was that the 18-250 was someway behind the IQ of both

If waterfalls are on your list then this easy walk to 2 impressive waterfalls isn't too far away, there's also abandoned gold mine workings:

Hi Mike,

Only being on the train once several years ago, I tend to take the hard way up these days...it's worth doing, just make sure you take your credit card with you

If you want any more info about anywhere just let me know

If past years are true to form Mike then October in North Wales may well be a pleasant suprise,

Far too many places to list but I'll add a couple...

The coastal walk from Aberdaron to headland opposite Bardsey Island,

The beach at Nefyn

and finally a little place known as THE SNOWDONIA NATIONAL PARK

Nice shots, I've just bought the F 28mm which looks equally promising although haven't had much chance to use it yet

I don't think there's much argument that the Pentax line-up isn't ideal for everyone, sports/action certainly doesn't seem to be high on the Pentax list...I don't blame anyone for moving if the system doesn't meet their needs, forget sentimentality etc it's simply a tool for the job and if it isn't up to it then move on.

Now having said that I do think Pentax cameras are really excellent tools for landscape photography, I have the impression that the K series was developed with this in mind: I'll definitely be sticking with my K5.

If I had £1200 to spend and wanted to cover a decent range I would be looking at the Pentax DA 17-70mm f4 and DA* 60-250mm f4.

Jules has both for sale in the used section so you would have enough left to source a prime (depending on focal length)

Both superb lenses.
Agree entirely with Mike about the DA17-70, brilliant zoom lens which IMHO stands up well against all but the very best Pentax primes (mainly FA 31mm Ltd)
