Hi Stuey...no problem with the advice, looking at your photos you're fine for the skill and talent!!

I ran a one-to-one in Snowdonia yesterday, forecast looked quite promising and the weather around Beddgelert/Watkin path was fine, we nearly got blown off our feet at Cwm Idwal...I wouldn't count too heavily on the forecasts

The waterfalls are looking particularly impressive at the moment, additional rain would make them even moreso and they're are a good option for heavy cloud if that happens...if you're thinking of southern Snowdonia then it's worth considering Pistyll Cain and the 2 other waterfalls closeby (rhaeadr mawddach & Ddu)...best parking in Ganllwyd near Coed Y Brenin.

they all have something different. The second to last one has an interesting foreground and a sense of depth
Yes actually, didn't see the 2nd to last properly as I'm viewing on the laptop and it doesn't all fit the screen...can't make my mind up now between the 2nd & this one

Nice series of some great views, 2nd one is my favourite for the balance, nice detail in the sky and nice subtle lighting

Only recently started using Nik software and I'm very impressed, I tried the conversion in photoshop beforehand but couldn't get the same tonal range from the shot that the Nik software managed

Thanks, I used the excellent Nik Efex Silver Pro plug-in for the black & white conversion

Last weekend I arrived in Snowdonia for sunrise, this shot was taken on a very changeable day, the sunrise was wonderful but 40 minutes afterwards cloud descended. This was taken with a Lee 10 stopper and converted to black & white to add to the bleakness

Just received my complimentary copy of the Magazine and the article is worth a read, 2 togs give their views..me being one of them, a couple of photos from us both and then a recap of what the official reviews said at the time..I think it's pretty fair on the K20D, image noise being the main weakness that gets mentioned, they also recommend the K30 as a modern alternative

Must admit I don't quite get the point of the Pentax Gallery..if it's intended to be a showcase for the best Pentax photography then it's not really achieving it as some quite average photos are on there?
