There really are some great 50mm Pentax lenses around, my decision to buy the FA version over one of the other manual versions was purely down to expected "hit rate".
Being relatively new to photography I've always being used to autofocus and having tried manual focus a few times since "joining" Pentax I found it difficult to always get the focus/sharpness I wanted, whilst I'm not expecting 100% hit rate either from the FA I believe it should prove a bit more succesful for me than the manual version - as your shots show they're obviously great lenses though.

My first impressions, having only received it this morning, are already very positive. Looks very sharp, even at F1.4, produces great colour and the Bokeh is pretty decent too, I've also noticed that AF seems quick on my K20D

i experimented for a while with Centre-Weighted, and found I ended-up with over-exposed shots. Under-exposed is MUCH preferable -its amazing what you can recover in Lightroom...but clipping is end of story! May be more of a problem on older cameras?
It probably doesn't matter much whether you use multi or centre-weighted, the important thing is to check your shots each time and re-shoot if necessary (or pre-shoot if you only have the one chance).

This may be worth considering.
