It comes without box but with the original hood, caps and case.

The hood itself has got a few scratches on it and there's a mark or two on the body (minor), but apart from that it's pretty good cosmetically. He tells me that optically it's flawless, but I haven't seen it yet so I can't confirm that. He's normally an honest chap though ...

I've just been offered first refusal on one of these by a friend of mine, but neither he nor I have any idea of price. I've trawled the classified ads without joy and I know there's an average price given on the other forum, but it's pretty ancient and prices on this side of the Atlantic tend to be somewhat different anyway.

So, in a nutshell, can anyone suggest what's reasonable? Has anyone picked up one of these in the last year or so?

Many thanks,

PMs replied. Sorry - not interested in trades as I've got more or less what I want now.

These are programmed for eBay later in the week, but I'll offer them here first in case anyone's interested. Prices include postage for the UK (Europe will cost about £5 more).

1). FA 50 f/1.4 - £210
I hesitate to describe any lens as “mint”, but I really can't find anything wrong with this one. Boxed with caps and papers. Will throw in a collapsible Tiffen lens hood.

2). A*300 f/4 - £375
Bought this when I needed a lightweight telephoto to shoot kitesurfers and it served me admirably. Excellent condition all round – optically lovely and the body is in good shape too. There are some visible scuff marks on the outside of the sliding lens hood. In original hard case with caps.

3). DA 17-70 f/4 - £275
In excellent condition – boxed with caps and lens hood. I've never had any issues with this copy (focussing or otherwise) – I ended up using it quite a lot over the summer and it always performed as it should.

Photos of all lenses are available. Payment by bank transfer or paypal.

Regards,

I quite liked the armchair shot actually. But I agree it's not exactly landscape, don't know quite how they shoe-horned it into that category.
