FA* 200 f/2.8

I've just been offered first refusal on one of these by a friend of mine, but neither he nor I have any idea of price. I've trawled the classified ads without joy and I know there's an average price given on the other forum, but it's pretty ancient and prices on this side of the Atlantic tend to be somewhat different anyway.

So, in a nutshell, can anyone suggest what's reasonable? Has anyone picked up one of these in the last year or so?

How's the condition ...any scratching of the silver paintwork?
Does it come with box, original hood/caps/case?

It comes without box but with the original hood, caps and case.

The hood itself has got a few scratches on it and there's a mark or two on the body (minor), but apart from that it's pretty good cosmetically. He tells me that optically it's flawless, but I haven't seen it yet so I can't confirm that. He's normally an honest chap though ...

I sold a perfect one (boxed) at the beginning of the year for £700.
I would value an unboxed one with marks on the body at around £600 .. they are worth a bit more than the DA* version even though they are not built as well and have no weather proofing/SDM

Optically they are much the same but the FA* appeals more to collectors than the DA*
