The title says 14mm, whilst the post says 15mm. So I'm not entirely sure I'm answering the correct question.

I sold the 12-24mm in favour of the 14mm & never had any regrets. I never had any issues with sharpness from either lens. I wouldn't say the IQ of the 14mm was any better, but it does handle flare better & also focusses a fair bit closer which reaps benefits in composition at a wide angle by enabling a strong foreground.

As for the 15mm, I can't help. But if anyone does give it a resounding thumbs-up, I can see Mikew being pushed over the edge into making a purchase !

If you find a teleconverter with the auto contacts cheaply then you could always remove the glass & use it as an auto extension tube.

Canon & Nikon both make Tilt & Shift lenses for 35mm cameras don't they ?
Maybe, but we're discussing Pentax cameras!
Sorry, when you said 35mm I thought you were referring to the world at large.

Luckily Hartblei tilt/shift lenses come in K mount.

Tilt and shift is only available on large format view cameras. Tilt is not available on 35mm cameras, only shift.

Tilt is what it sounds like and shift is moving the lens to one side of the optical axis.
Canon & Nikon both make Tilt & Shift lenses for 35mm cameras don't they ? As do the 3rd party manufacturers referred to below ?

There are also a few russian tlit/shift lenses currently being made in a pentax mount, but I can't recall the names. Perhaps somebody else can.
Ebay is probably your best bet.
I'm waiting on 35mm SuperRotator from Hartblei to become available again - they seem to have gone out of stock for the moment. I think that is the one you may be thinking of?
Chris, I think the Hartblei name has been acquired. The Hartblei.com site is running out of stock of almost everything & if you visit Hartblei.de you'll notice they are now using Zeiss optics & the price has jumped by a fair margin. edit: I've just looked at the price list & "fair" would be the wrong word to use ! €4589 + vat for the 40mm anyone ?

I think Mark may have been referring to Arsat or Arax brand Russian lenses.

I was surprised to see the eneloop AA's in ASDA near the Photo desk. I couldn't find the maH rating on the packaging or I may have been tempted.

I don't use flash too often so I carry a few sets of non-rechargables in case my NiMH's have lost some of their charge since the last time I used them. I always keep an eye out for bogof offers etc when shopping. Always useful to have a backup.

The Tamron 28-75mm is a cracking lens for the price. I sold mine as I didn't think 28mm was wide enough for a walk-about & I started carrying a few primes as my preferred kit.

It's a little plasticky, but is good quality plastic with a decent build & the obvious advantage to this is less weight.

If you think 28mm is wide enough for you then I don't think you'd be disappointed.

Here's a shot using the said lens at 28mm f2.8

When I've been to maspolomas dunes it has always been populated by naked Germans. I do hope you'll be partially clothed Ralph !

I love the golden light in the 4th shot, it is wonderful against the green. The terraced fields cutting into the landscape are fantastic.

There must be an option somewhere to reset all custom functions or "factory reset" this may solve it. Of course you'll need to set your custom settings back up as you like afterwards.

Hi Vic,

You need to update Adobe Camera Raw I think... BUT not all versions can be updated to include the K-7 PEF's I don't think.

There may be work arounds, but If updating doesn't work I'd stick to DNG until you can find a solution.

Edit: just saw that you have been able to open K-7 PEFs ok until now, so you may as well ignore my update suggestion.

What else has changed on the computer Vic ? Have you installed any new programs or updated any others ? There could be a conflict issue perhaps ?
