The lines are I think marked on a detachable focus screen mounted above the mirror, check if that has moved slightly but be VERY careful as it is too easy to mark with scratches and fingerprints.

Meanwhile, in the world of really important things ...

A while ago, my son in law asked his 5 year old daughter to hide the Christmas present for his wife. 5 year old hid it. And now she can't remember where . Unlike Brexit deals, the deadline for finding it can't be changed.

Next time, if you are in low light, set your camera to a slow speed (two or more seconds is ideal) and hold the flash in your hand. Using a cable release or time delay press the shutter using the other hand and manually fire the flash when the shutter opens. This worked for me photographing an artefact in a church and my radio triggers failed as well.

I remember years ago when BJ was mayor of London there were posters everywhere telling Londoners how special they were, along the lines of: " When you are in the country why do you walk faster than everyone else? It's because you are a Londoner" and other such facile slogans. I amused myself by thinking up my own versions such as: "In a country pub why does everyone leave when you come in? It's because you are a Londoner." and "Why do you always talk so loudly everyone else can hear? It's because..etc." It is time to think up some new ones so any ideas anyone? (Suggestions from any Londoners out there are welcome as well!)

Not content with spreading the new variant amongst themselves they are hell-bent on spreading it throughout the country! Unbelievable. Go home. Please.

Some great potential at that spot and for me the last two are favourite, and the long exposures work really well here.

Christmas shopping today in Stratford upon Avon and I came across a local gin distillery - they do gin tasting river cruises on the Avon, so cannot wait to sign up!

Found a bottle from Tintagel Brewery at the back of the fridge, only 15 months past it's best-before date, it still tastes ok but then anything would after the day I’ve had.

That may be so richandfleur, but there are some who prefer manual for portraits which is actually easier with a lens designed as such. I have been doing a lot of outdoor portraiture recently for a couple of projects, almost all with the 77mm Limited lens on a K1, using the selective single point focus at f4 to f5.6 and the sharpness and background separation are outstanding. A few more points nearer the edges would be useful though so the new KIII mk3 could be good for this, and even better a K1 mk3!
