Jonathan, I have had a couple of deliveries from The Netherlands recently, one was delayed for a day getting clearance whilst the other came straight away.

Had they run out of plates and glasses?

Just arrived, a Lastolite EzyBounce modifier which just straps onto your flash for bounced light but can modify and shape the light as well. Now owned by Manfrotto this is a bargain right now with a 67% discount to £9.99 with free postage in the UK from Manfrotto UK. I think they are busy rebranding the Lastolite range so they are getting rid of old stock, grab one whilst you can!

Or how about a tripod or a gimbal tripod head?

I agree, excellent shots and great control of lighting.

Absolutely nailed the focus and good lighting too without highlights.

That’s a great photo. I would be tempted to darken the background so it is completely black, a bit of a faff but worthwhile.

Enjoyable and instructive read, thanks.

The difficulty for Pentax is it has nowhere else to go except refining DSLRs. Others have recognised that a new mount is needed for mirrorless and are happy to ditch old lenses, not for the first time, but the Pentax mantra is keeping backwards compatibility.

There are diehards who will stick with DSLRs whilst they can but I doubt whether they would switch brands just to do this, probably just accept the inevitable. I can see with this new body and lens that Pentax is trying to push upmarket but there is massive resistance as we have seen in the reviews. Leica has managed to because that has always been where the brand has sat but Pentax was always in the good-value-for-money field (as per the K1) so that would require a massive marketing campaign, something Pentax gave up on years ago, leaving public perception entirely in the hands of reviewers.

Don’t you have a spare?
