If you have a lens on the camera that extends either while focusing or zooming, air and dust is sucked into the body.
WR lenses are supposed to be dust resistant aren't they?

I have used the Pentax sensor cleaning kit which works fine when blowing failed (microscopic paint particles from a new mount converter got everywhere!). Just very gingerly touch the sensor with the sticky bud so as not to damage the sensor mount mechanism.

A few taken today with K-1 and DFA 28-105mm lens in available light, so v. high ISOs. Post processed in Lightroom. I do have one with a young lad visitor helping in the kitchen, but what is the situation now with putting children on the internet without permission?

I did run Denoise software for the first time but it took so long on each image I gave up and reduced noise in Lightroom instead, Comments welcome.

Actually it's a Pentax Pro centre.

The article mentions HP's Instant Ink facility, where you are automatically sent a fresh ink cartridge, but Which? thinks that the final costs are rather high unless one does a lot of printing. Similarly, the Epson eco-tank system is discussed: the advantage of very cheap per-print costs have to be balanced against a high purchase price.

I bought the HP5740 as an office printer, it's ok for 6x4" but not tried anything bigger. I was attracted to this automatic ink ordering but your choice of contracts (and monthly cost) depends on knowing how many pages you print a month. Who does? Reading the small print if you exceed your quota then an additional charge per page is made which is extortionate.

after a trip to sailsbury today i think london camera exchange should be ashamed

My local LCE in Leamington Spa is the same, used to have a display but that's gone. "I think I might have a K-1 under here somewhere but there is no demand." (Really? Ask SRS how they are doing!) Ask for advice and you are pushed to you-know-where. Been in twice in two years to order a Pentax but went elsewhere, they were simply not interested. Shame, as otherwise their service is very good.

Highs - well must be getting the K-1 which involved a trip down to Watford. Plus splurging on the 15-30mm lens which is a firm favourite. Lows - carrying the kit to London on the train for an interiors shoot only for the flash batteries to die after the second shot. Return trip planned in new year, will carry well charged spares!

The 15-30mm I find to be an excellent clear and sharp lens, and use the 28-105mm as a great general purpose lens which is easy to carry around. The two together with a prime or macro lens in the bag are manageable and cover most situations. I have toyed with getting the 24-70mm and 70-200mm but am put off by the weight; they would force a choice as to what I would take and leave behind which is a bit pointless. Instead I am looking to a couple of primes to supplement the 28-105mm where I need more reach or wider aperture.
