Thanks to both of you for clarifying that for me. I didn't get paid for it I took them as a favour. I suspected that they would be my copyright but I just wanted to confirm that.

Okay the situation is this...last weekend I was asked by a family member to take some photos of a christening which I was very pleased to do as it was my first attempt at a formal event and they turned out very well

Before I went home I allowed the images to be copied off the card onto the other computer. Last night I was looking at the photos which have since been included on a Picasa account and a copyright logo has been inserted on all of the christening photos but it isn't mine!

So has my copyright been breached? Also when photos are downloaded onto Picasa in particular does it automatically insert a copyright logo or does the individual have to create one themselves?

I was using a K20 had I been using my K-7 then I could have included those details prior to taking the photos but hey that is off being repaired

So what have I learnt from this? To let people have the photos once I've put my details on (which I have done for various aircraft images)- I didn't think I would have to on this occasion!

For Sale is a virtually brand new Sigma 50-500mm. I used it over the weekend of the Royal International Air Tattoo and at a recent one day event at Duxford but now have to sell the lens

I purchased it from Warehouse Express in June this year and comes complete with box, paperwork, case, etc and when I bought it I registered it with Sigma UK for the extended warranty. When I asked them yesterday if that was transferable they replied:

"Dear Sir

Our warranties are unfortunately non transferable."

Due to the almost mint condition of the lens it is for sale at £750 OVNO + £25 Special Delivery.

Enquiries via PM please.

I thought that I would try and offer it to forum members first before putting it on ebay.

Thanks

Rob

This is what my cards look like.

For Sale are two Extreme 3 4GB SDHC cards and I'll include with each card a mini Lexar SDHC card reader that came with my Lexar cards. These are the "old" style Extreme 3 edition.

No box but the cases are included, I purchased them from a reputable retailer on the internet based in the UK.

£10 each including delivery.

PM me for further details if interested.

Thanks

Rob

For Sale are 2 Class 6 16GB SDHC cards by Integral labelled "Ultima Pro." No box included but they are in a small case. Have been used a few times and are in very good condition. Decided to get some 8GB instead so as not to rely on such big cards at once!

£15 each including standard 1st Class delivery.

If interested then send me a PM and I'll give you further details.

Thanks

Rob

The shutter is closed and the sensor covered when changing lenses, so damage at that point does seem rather unlikely.
Just to go back to this, I was using a 17-70 for my first image of the day with no problems. I changed the lens in a dust free enviroment to the 60-250mm and from the second image the spots appeared

I thought at the time that something was up as when I carried out the Dust Alert function it showed the sensor was clear but the spots were still appearing. So somehow something got onto the sensor and caused it some damage.

Hi All,

I don't know if anyone is aware of the problem of using photobucket to upload images but it seems depending on the uploader that you use it can significantly degrade the image.

Have a look at thread for more info if you are interested:
