Looks real good, my dad loves them as he's ex RAF, whats the price for a print then :
They will be sold via myself for £20 on high quality paper with the proceeds going to the Vulcan To The Sky Trust, if anyone is interested then send me a PM. Alternatively contact me via my Flickr page as it is also shown on my photostream.

Thanks for the comments and offers so far, much appreciated.

Not so sure about the final comment as I run multi systems and it isn't due to image quality.
I think that's the OP's point. Baring a few specific situations final real world image quality is brand independant. It's the other features which one should base ones system choice on. But the easiest way to pull the wool over the eyes of the punter in a camera shop is to tell him he's buying better image quality.

Very nice shot, I hope it sells well!
Totally agree with your comments, its just that I don't think that I have ever heard salesmen advising one brand over another because of picture quality, hence my comment.

But I'm not a salesman by trade...

I was just trying to say that Pentax cameras produce nice images but then we all know that anyway otherwise we wouldn't use them.

Anyway back to my original comments and trying not to detract the thread from the subject the Director of RIAT has asked for one of these images which I am very pleased about

Hopefully others will want one as well.

One of my many images taken at the Royal International Air Tattoo this year is being produced as an 18x12 inch print and this is what the final version will look like:

The image itself is being printed by an independent photographic shop in Walthamstow and I have used them for many years.

I have confirmed with John Riley that this is a lawful post!

This is also a good advert for Pentax in my opinion as it shows what kind of images our equipment can produce and you don't have to buy Canon/Nikon etc etc...

Welcome to the forum.

On my Flickr account when I used the Sigma 100-300 F4 that is shown as a D-XENON 50-200mm F4-5.6 ED!

I've just noticed a message displayed on the rear of the K-7 when I attatch the Sigma 100-300mm. "Input focal length" appears for less than a second then disappears. It doesn't stay on long enough for me to add the focal length. I don't recall this happening on Sunday when I used it for the first time.

Has anyone else had this issue? I've tried it on my K20D and this doesn't appear at all.

Having tried it on the K-7 this morning it doesn't do it every time I switch the camera on

I should add that the battery is fully charged, the aperture ring is set to "A" and it is the F4 EX DG APO version of the lens.

Any ideas?

Regards

Rob

Well I've just logged on and noticed 2 pages of comments and thought those images have gone down well - then I read what they consisted off!

I have noticed those patterns as well but have no idea what caused it. I thought at first that it might have been the fact that I used a skylight filter.

No probs Oggy in pointing it out further

Amin check out that smoke that you use in your shed...it might be contaminated with something

Can anyone tell me if images can be re-sized using Silkypix Pro? The only version of Photoshop I have is Elements 6 which I am aware I can use that, just wondered if there is somewhere on Silkypix that allows you to do this?

Cheers

Well I haven't got a P30N but my first SLR which I still have and was a 21st birthday present was a P30T and that was a cracking little camera!

I'm amazed - I never got any aeroplane in flight picture which was worth posting anywhere They are superb! And with some of them - were you in the air as well? - they look to be so close! (ie #4).

My favourite are #6 and #7, but to be honest I like them all
It just happens that at Old Warden the display line is very close to the crowd so with a 300mm lens you can get some close up images, unlike at the Paris show where you need at least a 400mm lens

One of my favourites from Sunday...
