I think that it would be a good idea to keep the 16-45mm for a while and to use the lenses in combination with each other. You don't want to get rid of it and wish you had kept it.

Oh and buy the 55-300mm...it is a cracking lens and I only asked SRS to sell it on my behalf as I have the DA*60-250mm and I found that I wasn't using it that often.

Why not try the Pentax 55-300mm -

link

At 300mm though it is F5.6 which might not be that great in low light. The adavantage of this lens is that is very compact and the IQ is fantastic IMO.

SRS is selling some of my gear in their used section:

Pentax 1.7x TC

DA 18-55mm MK 2

DA 55-300mm

If anyone is after these lenses or teleconverter then give them a call.

All of these are in an excellent condition with little signs of use, box and relevant paperwork included and pouches where applicable.

Regards

Rob

Thanks for your comments re the photos. I've always wanted to have a go at some aerial photography and I was pleased with them as well

These were taken at around 1500 feet and we went pretty much where we wanted, ATC were good to us that day but I was told there have been days where they have been very strict and certain routes have to be followed.

It was a weird feeling flying alongside the runway at LHR and the departing aircraft being told to look out for a helicopter in the vicinity of the airport. If we had the need then we could have closed the airport for our purposes although we would not have been very popular!

What I did miss though was the sight of a BA jet carrying out a touch 'n' go at LCY...now that would have been a good capture!

This is my first attempt at air-to-air photography...not the best I admit but not bad as I just looked out of the window and there it was!

I know that some of these images suffer from vignetting, I don't know if that is a result of the 18-250mm lens that I used or my surroundings. The photos had to be taken fairly quickly so composition may not be up to scratch either but I am pleased with these. There are more on my flickr page along with photos of my mode of transport for the trip

Thanks for looking, C&C welcome.

I've tried to take pictures at 1/350th but without much luck. So I tend to use either 1/400th or no faster than 1/500th and I get pleasing results from that. The well documentated AF speed is not helpful for prop blur but it can be mastered

For helicopters I can manage between 1/125th-1/400th very happily.

Hope this helps.
