Chinon lenses as a whole are generally underrated. They are reasonable performers and I rate them highly on a bang for buck score. My little Chinon 50 f1.9 delivers bokeh that is very reminisant of a K55 f/1.8. They are really coarse though with regards their focussing rings, it just feels nasty after you have experienced a Super Takumar or Pentax K lens.
The undisputed aspect of the Pentax 50 f/1.4 might also be argued a little, I have a serious heavyweight here that would quite happily enter a ring with any 50 f/1.4

You can get the M-OE53 from most Pentax Pro stockists like SRS in the UK. I use one on my K-5 to help handle some older MF lenses. Be aware that there is a tiny bit of vignetting in the extreme corners, I find it is the upper left and upper right but it may be different for others. I barely notice it now.

I believe the O-ME53 fits all Pentax Dslrs, it is really easy to fit, pull the eyecup up and off and replace with the magnified version, less than 2 min job.

Think I am reaching Amateur level. I love taking pictures but sometimes I enjoy whole tactile thing of going out with the camera and a nice lens more. I believe the K-5 will actually punish me for lack of technique and i'm looking forward to that in a perverse way , it will help me along the road a bit more.

RAW, its the digital negative! I have only used JPEG on one exception and that was 2 weeks ago when my main PC went belly up and I needed to put up some shots of some gear I was selling. I use Lightroom 3.2 and am also looking at the Topaz addons.

My mistake. Put it down as the FA24 f2.8. As an indicator for the FA* 24 f/2, Ffordes have a couple, 1 @ £449 and another @ £649

FA24 - £275 - Conservative price
FA35 - £250 - People are snapping these up
FA50 - £175ish
FA200 - £600ish
Don't really know about the converter. The FA24 might get more because it is fairly rare.

Nice set of lenses. You should really hook them up to a K-5
