[quote:3496ace15f="DERYN"]Hi and hello to all from sunny N.Wales. (yes it is raining at the mo' !)

I ventured into the world of DSLR's late last year and bought myself a K10. Regrets ? none. It's a solid piece of kit and as I'm out and about in all weathers the camera always feels capable of coping.
I mainly enjoy landscape and love to take the K10 on frequent walks into the mountains.
I still have the kit lens but rarely take it with me. Instead I just take a 50mm 1.7 and a 28mm 3.5, both manual. I get some fair results but may be in the market for an A focus lens in the near future. Next thing on the shopping list though is a nice light tripod which I hope will give me more options when taking photos.

Great website.

Hello and welcome from South Wales, it is raining here also, pleased your enjoying the K10 It is an excellent camera and even better with those manual lenses which I assume are Pentax ones. Far better quality in those optically, than their digital equivalents. A good tripod is essential in the UK given the level of light, so good hunting on the tripod front.
Regards,
Rees

By Sugestion I got rid of the words and moved my yellow a little more to the center. Tell me if you like it better.
Yes, much improvement on this one, script is fine in the right place, but remember, in photography, a picture is a thousand words! keep clicking and enjoy.

Now it's back, why not use it? You're part of a great community here as well and it would seem a pity to lose you to some other place.

After all, there's nothing wrong with a K20D and the Pentax lenses are superb, so why change?
Probably because he's sold all his lenses & bought a Canon 50d
Correct RR
Is this the parting of the waves with Pentax then Terry? If this is the case, sorry to see you go and thanks for all your help!

I've used an MZ-M since year 2000. An MG for the last year and have just acquired an ME Super in excellent condition, which seems a little gem.

Am looking forward to using it in earnest this week end. Filled with Fujifilm Superia 200 ISO.

Both the MZ-M and the MG have given me excellent results and I expect the ME Super to do the same.
Well enjoy your weekend, forecast not to good so your 200 ASA should be up to it, the camera certainly will be and don't forget to post some images, sorry, photographs here.

Pentax changed the viewfinder with the M series of cameras, the Spotmatic era RAFs fit up to the K series of cameras. The M series ones fit to present. So the answer is no, it wont fit.
Thank you for that gartmore, saved me some money, many thanks.

When placing glass on glass it should be quality, both B+W and Hoya produce quality filters. Using a lens hood to protect a lens can be quite detrimental, if the lens hood takes a knock it can severely damage the delicate screw thread on the lens itself - not a good idea. Hoya now manufacture a lens protector filter, although I have not tried it. I would personally purchase a Hoya UV Pro digital filter, when you need to use your polriser carefully remove the UV. John Riley is quite correct about cleaning the lens element, only when absolutely necessary.
Hope this helps you.

Agree with Mile-P and grahamwalton Adaptall mounts and lenses are manual focus only.

Its a lens you'll be more than happy with, excellent optics and far superior than the equivalent digital lens - enjoy it.

Hello moonstomp, in a word Yes, I have the Pentax SFXn, brilliant camera, very underrated, like the trap focus on it. However, you can use your 28-80mm AF lens on any of the Pentax digital bodies, but with the sensor used it becomes effectively a 42mm - 120mm, auto focus works with no problems.
