am i right in thinking eye-fi is only suitable for jpeg transmission and not dng raw

you should be able to get motherboard manufacturer and model from motherboard, drop the side off the computer it should be visible printed on the board. then do a search on web for manual and latest bios, instuctions will be there re download procedure,manual will have bios update info as well

the k5 is agood camera but it is not a mass market camera. if you watch canikon adverts they are aimed at a mass young market with all singing all dancing gizmos, 3d, moveable screen, fast af, the in camera pre and post photo capabilities, pentax have got to get to this market,i think, if they are to be a major player or they will carry on being regarded as second rate by the masses. that would be a shame ,i bought my k7 on the name as i knew very little of canon or nikon as i come from an older generation and although not into photography growing up i knew pentax as camera manufacturers and they had been around for many years, i hope they will be for many more.

k5 needs a magic lantern manual, that was the best buy i made when i had k7, a lot easier to understand

thanks for the reply, it was something i had thought about when i had the k7 but enqiries i made came back negative so did not bother, may have a go with the k5 though. would like to see what you got with k7, what filter (manufacturer) did you use

is it ok to use an ir filter on k5, apparently it was not on the k7. maybe some thing to do with sensor.

Yeah I had a look at a K5 in a shop and I was like omfg... the zoom-on-AF lock feature is AMAZING as well.
