Breaking the rules...
Posted in Your Photos
+1 on the image. The thirds rule soes seem to be ok going top to bottom but maybe some would feel the main tree should not be center but on right hand third so the eye follows the slope down to it. just my two penneth worth:D:D:D
Things are looking up.....

As Lubbyman says very good. with regards to his second comment i think it is the brightness of the clouds that draws your attention in the mono version whereas in the colour version it's the strong dark lines of the trunks doing it. Does that make sense or do i need to lie down in a dark room:shock:
Bored with TV so did a bit of reworking, 2 reworks and 1 fresh from raw file

Funnily enough John on second thoughts it doesn't work for me now in the cold light of day :roll: The bungalow is NIK Silver Efex soft glow then the brightness taken off a bit with an adjustable ND Grad The last one is a mix of a False colour IR image and Threshold adjutment in PS CC. Borders from NIK Colour Efex maybe the viaduct needs a grunge overlay:lol::lol::lol:

Firmware upgrade error

Peter, i only ever transfer images to computer through a wired connection, 3 cameras each with their own transfer lead permanently connected to computer as they all have different transfer ports. Firmware for the Oly comes direct from site through their packaged software which made me think Ricoh could do the same for my 2 Pentax.

Agree with Lennybloke the colour version is stunning

Another fine shot Nigel. You certainly have the old K7 performing well as well as a lens that is not classed as one of the best, well done.

Isn't it time that Ricoh sorted out direct dowload from site to camera without faffing about formatting cards and saving files.
Fixed Screen for new APS-C flagship
Posted in Pentax Digital SLRs
An OLED screen would be good as they are usable in sunlight apparently. No interest in the next model but it should be up to date in the hardware that is available these days. If i was wanting a change it would be a deal breaker for me at this point. The handling of other brands is getting a lot better and the old weather sealing thing is no longer the be all and end all it used to be either.
O-ring for K3

Fair play Nigel, not sure i would be that brave, having ended up knee deep in mud in the past . Well worth it though, excellent images and possibly quite rare due to the effort needed. good to have you back.
