because Pentax made slr cameras that is what i knew. had made slr cameras since i could remember even though i had never had a serious photographic thought in my head but the name was there, so a K7 was purchased as my first dslr after playing with a couple of point and shoot and a fuji bridge.
Sony make hi-fi,tv, Canon make printers, Nikon lenses so in my mind Pentax, because of the name, made CAMERAS. where else would i go with that mind set, and not regreted it, frustrated sometimes but in the end that,s usually my fault

that is possible, checked with mine and i do not have that option either ,must admit had not looked before, i have just searched as you did and that window appears to be the same as the one you get when you select file> print, then in that window is printer options ,so it looks as though it has been changed
all the best

with mine print preview is a selection in printer properties which you select when the picture is displayed in ps for printing, cs5 and elements. i believe you get the option to "show this page first" or something along those lines. hope this helps

will be quite bracing on Lizard point this time of year. Kynance cove is not far from Lizard but you need low tide for the caves and to keep an eye on the tide if you do go to see them. have a nice time. we did a similar thing in November , the wife retired and decided lets go to Lynmouth just because it was the first time she did not have to clear it with anybody, it was great, quiet and relaxing. these plces are wonderful without the crowds.

we love Cornwall, we are going to Looe in September, have not been that end for many years but before that in May we are going back to Kennack Sands for the third year running. if you can get down to Lizard village there is the Regent cafe. the food is gorgeous, any thing from burger in a bun to venison steak and all tastes in between, but you will have to wait as it is not cooked until it is ordered and i defy you not to have a sweet. hope to get to Kynance cove down there this time to see the caves ,see how good this k5 is in damp ,low light.
have fun

ok peeps looks like it,s sorted as usual in most cases like this user error . set the test up again so it was more accurate this time i.e measured 45 degree for chart, measured height to to focus line ,measured camera height. still a discrepancy between tele and wide but as you say this could be down to being wide open. focus point/line on chart is in focus both ends so all is well with the world again ...... until next time!
thanks for your input

i cannot find the manufacturer ,but i have a Jessop badged MC 1.7X Pz/AF
tele-converter made in japan. it has the 7 contacts plus the sdm contacts, tried on my DA*16-50 and it works including af, only tried in a not very bright room and it hunted, when there was decent contrast difference it found focus, as i say i tried to find who made it but no luck.
