Hi Guys

I know I have seen (on this forum) ways of checking the autofocus using self printed test pages but can't find the threads/links.

Please could someone kindly remind me where to get the method to check my K10D. I am a little suspicious that it isnt focussing exactly -especially having seen pics taken of the same subject at the same time by a friend using a KM.

The slight softness seems common to all my lenses -including the DA 50-135.

Thanks
Geoff

Hi Everyone
Does anyone have any experience of this printer giving very blue results? If so is there something in the printer settings that I need to change?

I am not talking about just a hint of blueness. If I print unedited the result makes grass look a very od shade of blue-green.

Any thoughts or advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Just when you think a topic is dead..... I had the joy of looking at some pics taken by a family friend using a Nikon D90 which offers face detection and HD video. The camera did not look at all bulky and seems to be priced between K20 and K7. Good use of technology or just a sop to point and shooters? The jury is no doubt still out!

Cheers

Hi Jon, Steve and others

Coalville is a touch further then I'd really like for getting to regular evening meetings - I'd still be interested in hearing of your experiences if you do get along to them.

The Leicester-Loughborough-Melton triangle would map out my preferred location.

Excellent shots sir! I've tried both ladies and mens games and usually find that the ladies game is less physical and more of a challenge to get the sort of action shots you have shwon on here.

Thanks for sharing with us and hope you'll keep them coming

Hi Jon

I guess thats my worry. At a time when discrimination on the grounds of age/sex etc is against the law I doubt if we have any redress in the vent that we are ganged up on by the canikon guys!!

One hopes of course that its more to do with results and interests rather than kit admiration!

Hi Guys

I'm also from north leics and thinking it would be good to join a club. looks like a dedicated Pentax one doesnt exist so I'd value any thoughts on the local options.

Thanks

Geoff

As I was brought up on manual flash I guess I'll cope! Its frustrating that the Jessops guys couldnt have told me that the K10D they'd sold me wouldnt work in auto mode with the gun I later went in to buy from them.

They were told it was for the K10D....mmmm

These days I use SRS as a supplier -I wish I had known of them before!

Thanks guys for your honest comments. This forum is a great place!

Thanks for the comment. I'll certainly use the exposure compensation option as it will be more versatile than having to work in full manual control.

As for P-TTL vs TTL -the TTL is what the gun reports on its lcd screen but as far I I understood the Jessops gun is menat to eb suitable for the K10D (or have I been mis-informed by the store?)

Hi All, I have a Jessops 360AFDP gun. When i use in TTL mode with my K10D it seems to give approx 2 stops underexposure with the camera in any auto mode (even when the subject is only a couple of metres away). This seems true for bounce and direct flash. I'm sure I've read the various manuals which make it all sound idiot proof. The gun knows its in TTL mode and seems to pick up the lens focal length.

Anyone got any thoughts?
