There is a wide angle attachment available for the original camera, takes it to 21mm equivalent I think. Haven't bothered with it myself as it adds bulk to a pocketable camera.

I can use 35mm and 50mm crop modes if needed.

Thanks for the link. Interesting that a slightly longer FL is being offered. I bought a GRIII earlier this year as a carry around camera for walks, family events and holidays. I was bowled over with the quality of the images produced and after becoming familiar with the numerous options I am more than happy to use one handed operation, jpeg output allowing the use of the creative filters and the macro option gives very sharp close ups, particularly with flowers and foliage whilst visiting gardens. The touch screen is very effective for focussing. I thought I would be constrained by the fixed FL but there are few occasions when I need a longer FL and the wide angle is fine for interiors. It has become my default camera, relegating the KP and too many lens for solo specific photo days.

Nice pictures. Stand out of the landscapes for me is number 5 with strong lines and a nice balance between land and sky. I do like the last two close ups particularly. The red poppies add something more and the oof "ears" add a lovely soft texture to both. I thought the landscapes were a bit overexposed but there again I often think my own images are slightly overexposed and adjust them in Lightroom.

Lovely images, a nice 3D effect. Number 2 is a great composition.

The mono wins by quite a difference. Maybe your skill with processing adds something else.... A tip I picked up from a photoshoot was to use a phone camera set to mono to take a test photo, especially of plants and flowers - surprising how different things look.

Number 3 is an excellent image. Suspect that the colour version would not be as good.

Well done with these photos Gareth. A subject which I have photographed many times and seen hundreds of other photos yet you manage to bring some interesting images. Number 2 and 8 are the ones which catch my eye particularly.

Well done with the 3 series of naturalistic photos. We had a holiday there 2 years ago and visited the RSPB reserve on a lovely day and enjoyed the walk and the birds. Saw our first puffins in the flesh. We make a point of visiting RSPB reserves when we are travelling around now. Still can't recognise birds but usually there is someone knowledgeable with a spotter scope who is only too happy to help.

Agree the first three work well with the triangle of trees in the first being pleasing on the eye.
