I think all of the Pentax AF lenses can be stored. Sigma lenses are an issue because they all identify themselves as "Sigma", nothing else. If you have a number of Sigma lenses, you'll have to choose one, and all the others will be corrected the same way.
Peter, I haven't tested it, but judging by the EXIF data that PhotoME reveals, there are differences in the Sigma lens data. I have the 70-300 that is identified as
SIGMA 70-300mm F4-5.6 APO/DL Macro or SIGMA 55-200mm F4-5.6 DC (or SIGMA DL-II 35-80mm F4-5.6 or SIGMA 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 DC or SIGMA 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG APO Macro)
with the ID 3 + 255 + 0

and the 105 EX DG Macro, that is identified as
SIGMA (Model unknown)
with the ID 3 + 0 + 0

So with these two I shouldn't have a problem with the lens adjustment. But it does show that one could run into trouble having several Sigma lenses.

this new competition should definitely be in the normal forum area, not next to the main competition. Having it next to the main one would detract from that competition and would capture the same audience etc.
Well, I do see it differently. I don't think that it would detract from the "other" competition (why call it the main competition?). I think the competition section is as if it was made for competitions

I agree with above, place it in the normal forum area, I do believe at 800 pixels wide you get a much better representation of the image like we did before.
What's wrong with 800 pixel wide images in the competition section? To me they don't look any different there ::

Dr. Munhi: In a thread the rules could be made permanent by making the rules post "sticky". Something that one of the admins could do for you on request.

Kris,

that's a very nice shot. The light is excellent, the shadow of the cross and the open book (looks too thin for a bible) make for a good composition. I would correct distortion to have the edge of the table (altar?) straight as well as the joint of the upper row of stones.

I also would try a crop without the real cross and only the shadow in the frame. (This would have been easier when shooting from another angle, but that in turn would have brought up other trouble, e.g. with the straight lines.) You could have tried to use a higher aperture value (with 1/60 s at 58 mm you are in conservative territory, SR should have given you perhaps two stops more) to get the book in focus as well.

I can think of a few different arrangements that would perhaps got you better impact, but I guess none of those were within your power.
One is to turn the cross slightly so that you get direct reflection from the front of the cross. The other one would be to get a higher viewpoint as to be able to peek into the open book.

Having said all that, I would be pleased with the shot had I taken it.
Salisbury Cathedral certainly is impressive, isn't it?

Cheers,
Prieni

Lilly,
I've had mine since April and I am (still) impressed. But I did upgrade from the *istD, so you might get better judgement (or more valuable to you) from people who upgraded from the K10.
One word of warning, though: There is a serious danger of getting trigger happy with it. I now had to issue a moratorium to myself as I have 1500 shots from our holiday... (It won't last long, I have a 16-50 on order )

I think you get the drift...

I don't really want to help my competitors but if you are only seeing green around you (regardless what hemisphere you happen to call home at the moment) maybe you should take a careful look at the competition topic again: Colour of autumn

It doesn't say "autumn scene" or "autumn leafs" but colour of autumn. Any picture with warm autumn colours would fit that bill in my books, wouldn't it?

Maybe lenscape could clarify this (I'm honestly not trying to mislead you. Wouldn't do that, would I? :twisted

Well that certainly was a handful for Glyn to judge and the job was carried out superbly and swiftly. Congratulations to lenscape, you did well in a tough competition.

Kaua'i is the oldest of the Hawaiian Islands and the northwestern most.
I have to say that I was blown away by Waimea Canyon as well. I didn't really prepare much for the trip and didn't see any pictures of it beforehand. Kaua'i certainly is worth a visit...

Being neither Mannesty nor PentaxDan I would try here:

The first hit when googling AF-540FGZ manual brought me to a page with the link.
