Correct, it looks a bit not in focus, and/or quite soft what I can see from that small picture.
If this isn't a heavy crop (I doubt it), then worth also to check if you don't have problems with hardware, or maybe your pp workflow needs some improvement.

Piotro, it was cloudy when I took the photo.
No, not this, planes are not in focus, or just blurry.
For comparison, some of my similar picture (taken with Pentax).

felix, no offense, but picture you are displaying doesn't show anything good about K-5 in this context.

Nsantos if you want camera that responds quickly then still D300 is better choice, especially with a choice of fast focusing lenses (don't forget Pentax SDM is just slow) to compliment better tracking AF in Nikon.

Thing is, that i.e. Canon/Nikon has "representatives" that look after number of shops, they visit them, bring "propaganda" materials, "educate" staff (especially that part of them that are just part time, seasonal workers without any real knowledge on the subject) in what is the "best" brand, etc.
I knew someone who worked for Jessops (London), I heard interesting stories about managers filling shops with part time students and cheap workforce without any photo knowledge, etc. She left Jessops to work for Nikon and work as such "representative", I remember her saying "now I will have to convince shop staff that Nikon does good compacts - it will be tough ".
Pentax hasn't got that (apart of some guys sometimes visiting Pro dealers - like SRS - although to be honest the one I spoke to at SRS some time ago, Steve I think, didn't help me, he was only promising, so not a good experience for me anyway), so not a surprise Pentax brand has no real force in these big shops.
This is not to say there are no knowledgeable staff at Jessops, you can still find them there.

Yes, it is market share, but also, competition was open for everybody, and to be honest I saw there plenty of pictures that IMHO non professional) opinion wasn't typical photos for sell, rather taken by people that just enjoy photography.

And as I said, it was not my intention to say that it is all down to camera, otherwise I would just concentrate on the mostly visible camera without getting into more details, reason for that was different.
There are (at least for me) other conclusions to make from that, and these are nothing unexpected, unfortunately.

I went today to National Theatre to look at prints on this exhibition (apparently over 100 pictures on display they say).

Just my personal opinion, somehow I liked only small part of pictures.

It is not my intention to say anything like "it is impossible to take a good pic with Pentax", etc, but I think there are some conclusions that can be made by looking at hardware used (not that these are any big surprise anyway). I didn't count, but it will be a good estimate if I say that around half of presented pictures was taken with Canon 5D (mostly mk2, couple mk1), good number of pictures taken with other full frame Canonos (1DS), Nikons 3D etc, couple D700, one Sony A900. I my memory servers, two times Fuji S3.
Visible number of pics taken with Nikon D300 and some with D200, couple of pics taken with variety of amateur class C/N DSLRs.
Some 3-4 Panasonic Lumix cameras.
2 pictures taken with Pentax, one with 67II (and Fuji Velvia) and one with K-x.

Sigma 10-20mm seems to be quite popular.

I'm intrigued how little feedback from the import agents we get here in the UK on anything Pentax put out. A nice little blog on their site explaining what's new and what's coming would be nice for us and I guess the retailers like SRS.
I don't think it is lack of feedback from importers, I guess they know just as much as Pentax tells them and Pentax definitely don't reveal much to the public - as we can see looking at changelogs for their firmware releases, I think it is just a poor communication from Pentax.

I personally would like to see more detailed list of changes, as many other people researching blindly every time what has changed - as seen on forums, it is just a bad way Pentax treats their (still) loyal customers IMHO.
The same applies for their "hidden" updates to firmware, that changingminor version number under the same major firmware version on Pentax webpage...

First pic of that pond water horse (in non techie term) is great. It is interesting to see and read about setup.
