K-5 firmware update

Thanks Gwynn.... that seems to be the 3rd update for the
GPS unit
I've DL'd the PC and Mac versions to check if they are the same.
Edit: The contents of both files are identical apart from
3 hrs diff. on the time stamps (probably the OS's messing
about).
The SFV checksums are
FWDC209B.BIN 62B76A32
README.TXT EDC2FD97
It's worth checking the *.BIN file when it's on your
SD card.

Thanks Gwyn. This is the first update I've done as I wanted to make sure everything worked well on the 1.01 version it came with. I followed the instructions and it all went without a hitch. Algernon, I didn't check the checksums because I didn't think of doing so. Have you ever experienced any problems with the download or are you just being very careful and professional?

Just tried to download it from the Pentax UK website and all it does is open a new tab on Firefox. Anybody had any luck?

The Mac only link is fine - it's just a ZIP file that has the .BIN file included. The Windows version is just an auto-unzipper-wrapper-in-an-EXE Edit - that seems to be a Mac only link
So you can unzip the Mac one on Windows

If you have Winzip just ZIP the file up and read the
sfv value off the Winzip info screen.
