If you did decide to upgrade your zooms, my DA* 50-135mm is performing great on my K3::

With that K3/k5 bake off, don't you need to scale the K3's image to the same size/field of view as the K5? Otherwise it's not a fair comparison? At least I think that's what dpreview and the like do.

Not seeing anything too concerning with my (admittedly limited) test shots so far.

Any thoughts on the focusing speed?

As I understand it, the metering sensor is used as part of the AF system for pattern and scene analysis. As it can differentiate colour, its able to determine whether something has interrupted the object you are tracking, for example.

If I recall correctly, CotswoldPhotography on eBay to brackets which will allow you to turn the flash and "point" it down line so it'll be closer to the center of the umbrella

Tempted to replace my Sigma 30mm, Tamron 17-50mm with one of these... wonder what they are worth!

Now with the larger sensor, I need to read up on reviews of the ISO performance. Just lugged my k30 round Glastonbury, and a Q7 is suddenly a lot more appealing!

I use Nikon fit triggers from Cotswold Photography - They're virtually identical to the Phottix II triggers.

And that reflects just how quickly the market changes, i was looking at the d7100 spec this morning and it looks like Nikon have seen the new k-5 as a threat and copied some of the ideas like filterless AA and fully sealed body.
I was thinking the same thing. Although ref the person above's comment on cost of the D7100 at launch, I am not sure you can compare US to UK, too many variables such as tax, market pricing etc, this early. Also K5ii may well drop more.

I'll be very interested to see how they go without the AA filter.

Biggest concern for me is the glass. A) is enough decent glass available B) can I afford it C) do I want to carry it around (likely to be bigger)

Ultimately, I'm nowhere near maxing out the capabilities of My K-01 and K-30... so I wouldn't be in any rush to upgrade
