Sorry for the delay in answering these - been rushed off my feet going thru all the photos from this event.

All conversions done after the fact in Apple Aperture only. What I just can't figure out is why the K-01 has much better punch than my K-30 - I'm much prefering the output. Could be the lens I was using, but I'm not sure. And this is despite being on the same JPG setting - I thought these cameras had the same sensor and same engine, perhaps I was wrong.

Tempted to sell the K-30 and pick up a K5II at this rate. Although I'd prefer a Pentax FF body lolz

Picked up a K-01 from SRS via eBay body only for £219 (pentax ex demo) as a spare ody. Used it at an event over the weekend, very impressed so far, colours from the JPG engine seem better. Also found the CDAF to be perfectly acceptable, even for action shots if you pre focus. Thought I'd share a few shots.

Get a UHC-1 one if you can, the camera supports it.

I also just bought a 64gb SanDisk one, which works nicely as well./

Yes, stuff moves ! And it's a right pain not being able to refocus during movie shots except by MF
I only mention it, due to finding most DSLR Autofocus systems to be highly sub-optimal during filming, due to the way they work. Will agree with you MF is a bit of a pain, but I get a higher hit rate than with the autofocus (and its quicker!)

Also, ask yourself what glass you can afford to put on it. Some of the Nikon pro glass is extremely expensive. I found Pentax better value over all, when I traded off features (e.g. Shake Reduction).

I have run into this problem also, and at the moment can find no way to force the iso up in TAV mode, other than the aforementioned manual effort. Seems a little odd that they couldn't allow you to use the EV button to change item,or pressing the ISO button again, or similar,.
