Ah well... I don't want to sound 'BNPish' but it's another stop and search of a white individual under prevention of terrorism to try and make the police look 'non discriminatory'!

Am I going to regret buying a K200 vs a K20?
K20D (with lens) costs £579 from SRS Microsystems. Can you get a K200D for very much less than that?
For info, I was in Birmingham last Friday and Jacobs have a new K200D with kit lens in the window. From memory the price was about £380. May be worth giving them a call?

But I am not entirely convinced, cos by your method, any picture featuring a shark or a gross dead body with its guts hanging out would instantly be 'art', if I remember my own tastes from childhood (yeah and much of my adulthood too!)

I wasn't really aware of him, but after looking at more of his shots he seems to create slightly unnerving dream-like images out of everyday subject matter...link
Maybe it's not for everyone but it certainly gets me excited.

Quote:In 2001 he said the cameras he used were a Contax G2, a Leica M6, M3, and R5, a Canon VT and other rangefinders, a Pentax reflex, an Olympus Stylus Epic (Olympus Mju II), a Mamiya 6x9, a Fuji GW690 6x9, a Hassleblad, etc.
There's something to be said for all styles of photography, whether it aspires to be taken seriously as an artform, or grace the front of the Countryfile calendar. I wouldn't want to be dismissive, as at least he - and others such as Martin Parr - is making us look at mundane subjects in a new way.
