Martin it's not straight dipping down a tad to the right, love the detail.

Your Photos is the place to put your photos!

My feeling is that I like the background very much and an image with the cottage and its surroundings would be very atmospheric.

I'm less keen on the foreground as it is largely in shadow, and forms a complete second subject in itself. An image usually works best if there is only one subject.

It's nice, as John says, a tad too much in the FG although the silhoetted geese against the mist, and the streak of light, look great.

Is this a new thing John because over the months we've had loads of pics on the forum.

Also Tel if you look at the roof top of the cottage in my opinion it's straight. It's the shoreline that is sloping

The cottage seems to be level, and as you say, the shoreline and the mist are sloping, but they give the illusion that the whole picture is off the level.

The picture is good, but I think that John is right, there quite a few images here, the house and mist is one, the geese are another, and there are about 50 more combinations in-between ?

The colours and light are terrific though !!!
