Nice pictures. Never saw Kenny race live but did see Ago win back in 1972 at Snetterton Race of Aces on the MV. Back then the lap record was just about the same as this years BSB at just under 100mph average, but never had all the twisty bits!
Which lens did you use?

What camera are you using? On my K-X when its set on remote for the shutter, the Shake Reduction is turned OFF. And now as the SR is OFF the lens length question is not asked by the camera at startup. Without checking it can easily be forgotten, as you can carry on taking pictures with the normal shutter release.
I have a Helios 58 M42 f2 which seemed to catch whilst screwing on with the k mount adapter fitted to the camera. This was the aperture release pin catching. So although the lens has a manual switch I stripped it down and put a small peice of wire insulation on the pin so it was held in the on position. It could have been taken out completely but I never wanted to lose it.

Hi there, saving for a 150-500 sigma.
While you are talking about batteries, has any body come up with a rechargable Lithium AA. after all the Li-ion is available in all the other specialist fitting batteries. Also any using the eneloop XX hIgh capacity?

Lovely "speed" in the shots. Really works on these slower shutter settings.
I have wondered about SR on panning shots, as to on or off. I can see you leave it off for good results.

Voting likewise, All pictures look as if the lens focusses okay with carts coming at you. I use the same , DA55-300. I tend to go for slower shutter speeds to maybe emphasise the speed with a little motion bblurrr.
But everyone to his own.

Hello, I am thinking about getting the Metz 44AF to go on my K_X. I presume that this 1/125 would apply to this gun also although it doesn't seem to say so in their instructions.?

What batteries are people using in their flashguns? So far a set of Eneloops seem far superior in the camera. I have a set of Camlink 2500Mah which are relly useless.

Does SRS still knock the postage off for members?

Thanks for advice. Cant really make out what can happen with the capacitors, except to say that a work colleague says that manufacturers only guarantee them for 1000hrs from new, charged or not! So in my mind I think that a new flashgun is the way to go, and hope for new stock.

As I am looking to buy a flash to use with my K-X, I have been reading what I can to see what to get in my sort of price range. Missed out on the Currys deal on Pentax 360 as living in the sticks, the local store never did have stock. It may not have been what I wanted as it doesn't have swivel head. Maybe a Metz 44 is possibly the one for me or Sigma 530. Anyway what I did see in the Metz instructions was;;

13.2 Flash capacitor forming
The flash capacitor built into the flash
unit undergoes physical change if the
unit is not switched on for a prolonged
period. For this reason it is necessary to
switch the unit on for approximately
10 minutes at least once every three
months. The power supplied by the
power source must be sufficient to cause
the flash readiness indicator to light up
no more than one minute after the flash
unit is switched on.

from metz 44 instructions, and the 36 has similar wording.

Could anyone explain what this means, maybe in simple terms, and also does this mean that secondhand flashguns may not be the bargains that they appear to be.

Looking on Ebay at the sellers feedback, he's done the same again with a pushchair PICTURE for £350. Nasty, maybe i'll be extra careful on any quick impulse buying!!!
