Number 1 for me. I love the textures of light on old walls.

Glad to know that you are recovered and active again. I developed covid 5 days after a birthday party last June, but was lucky and only had a cough and mild fever for a few days.

Thanks for your comments. Nobody could really take any credit for sharpness of a dslr photo these days, when the camera does it (and much more) for you. Exposure can sometimes be incorrect, which is why I have my K-S2 to bracket one stop above and below the camera's choice of exposure.

One might be able to write a good short story about the safety pin on the floor (No. 1). I do like the third, Cardiff Central. You might consider cropping out a bit of the foreground?

Just four of the photos I took while at Runswick Bay a few weeks ago. No artistic or photographic merit. This one-time fishing village, near Whitby, has attracted artists for a long while (like neighbouring Staithes). With the loss of almost all inshore fishing, the cottages have been bought and modernised for holiday homes by many outsiders. The photos below show:
Part of the old village, seen from the beach.
One of the prettier cottages.
The garden of this cottage with a thriving fuchsia.
One of the alleyways - at Fiddlers Green.

It really has a magical feel. I like the glimpse of the flock of rooks (?) flying across, above the mist.

Beware also for gusts of wind. A couple of years ago we were parked at the top of Blue Bank (Whitby) eating fish and chips and admiring the view. Missus went to fetch something from the boot. A gust of wind whipped the tailgate up, broke both struts, and then it dropped on her head. I swear she has never been the same since....

I also like your frog. As for the black slug, my missus would not hesitate to stamp on it.

I too would chose 2, mainly for the good frontal detail and overall sharpness.

My goodness, I wish I could get such fine images hand-held!

So old school, I would not know what to do with the levers on the steering column.

Gear change ?
I think one is a hand throttle, the other will advance or retard the ignition timing. I have never had to deal with anything like this, but I seem to remember that these levers were fairly common on pre-war sports cars.
