Four from Yorkshire

Just four of the photos I took while at Runswick Bay a few weeks ago. No artistic or photographic merit. This one-time fishing village, near Whitby, has attracted artists for a long while (like neighbouring Staithes). With the loss of almost all inshore fishing, the cottages have been bought and modernised for holiday homes by many outsiders. The photos below show:
Part of the old village, seen from the beach.
One of the prettier cottages.
The garden of this cottage with a thriving fuchsia.
One of the alleyways - at Fiddlers Green.

All good clear pictures - what's not to like. i have been to Whitby a few times over the years, (last time 40 years ago) but can't say for sure if I've been to Runswick Bay. Thank you for sharing these.

not sure how you reach the conclusion of no artistic or photographic merit - they are crisp, clear and enjoyable with the composition of the 2nd shot being perfect (IMO)

Thanks for your comments. Nobody could really take any credit for sharpness of a dslr photo these days, when the camera does it (and much more) for you. Exposure can sometimes be incorrect, which is why I have my K-S2 to bracket one stop above and below the camera's choice of exposure.
