A very worthwhile trip across the border. That old fort is impressive, but "Guard Dog" is specially appealing.

Great image - your little setup has worked excellently.

If one didn't know how small it is, those fangs look as though they could envenomate an ox!

My cheery wife bought a book of jokes from a charity stall. Trouble is, she keeps trying to read the really funny ones out to us. But just before she gets to reading out the punch-line she becomes completely inarticulate with helpless laughter.
The only thing we can do, in frustration, is to take the book off her and read it ourselves

Too many calendars!

It is natural for us to want to share our best photos with friends, and what better way to do it than by sending them a calendar with twelve, or so, of our snaps.

It is getting out of hand. We have received six, so far, and they are still coming in! One commercial 2023 calendar was sent by a Norwegian friend that shows the scenery of his country. The rest range from excellent sharp well composed images of wildlife, scenery or places visited on holiday, to rather fuzzy snaps of friends' hobbies, probably taken on a smartphone. What can we do with so many? Just stop it!

I like all of them. I certainly would not risk icy stepping stones in this weather. Spent all morning shovelling snow out of my driveway.

Last night's freezing fog left a white hoar-frost all over our garden. Couldn't resist capturing some close-up photos of the crystals on some of the plants.

First, frost crystals on the leaves of a Kerria japonica in a shady part of the garden.

What an inventive project. Way more thought and lookabout provoking than doors, windows, chimneys...

Nice to see your images and contemplate them.

What a superb set of goths. I love them all. My wife's favourite is the 6th one: the lady in black. Their attention to elegant detail is impressive and it must take them hours to turn out so wonderfully.

We were staying near Whitby in September, sorry to have missed this weekend event.

I peered at it a couple of times, through a scrap of almost black 35mm film. Not exciting enough to bother setting the camera up.
Did you use a ND filter? Otherwise exposure must have been tricky.
