This is just not fair. Come on here, putting images of the FA Limiteds on showing excellent bokeh and sharpness, and us mere mortals not having a single limited in our intinery (spending our pennies on a K-5 instead)

Like I say not fair......

(The K-5 is mighty and will be worthy of the Limiteds for those who are incorrectly reading into my reply that I have got second best with a K-5....)

LOL

Maybe SRS will have it on the list for rental, as the 120-300 will be perfect for motorsport. My mate has rented one a couple of times for this very subject........

Please Please Please Sigma make the 120-300 F2.8 with the Pentax mount this time........
Actually, Please Please Please make the 150mm Macro with the Pentax mount too.....

The others will have Pentax mount and were popular on it, especially the 105mm (I have one )

Am I happy with my choice of camera brand? Well......
Before my K-5 I was resonably happy. Excellent IQ, built like a tank, weather sealed etc.
I put up with the foibles like noisy mirror, relative lack of lenses (but what I have I am happy with) intermittent AF accuracy at times. no fast fps. They did'nt put me off, as at the end of the day I was happy with the results.

Since I got the K-5?
Delighted is the word! I think now, what other camera can do what the K-5 can't? Even full frame....What other camera can give you SR at ALL focal lengths (apart from the Sony to which I don't like) A dynamic range that beats others, a class leading fps, a class leading low light performance, fully sealed (i think you get my point)
Sure it's not FF, and ultimately FF would be nice to have, but now it is not a need, but only a "like".

Pentax cameras have always been good, but with the K-5 I would say excellent.

We all have that list of dream kit if we won the lottery, and mine included various makes for specific types of photography, but now, the list is increasingly shorter. Another K-5 (silver?) and long fast lenses and all the Limiteds, and maybe a 645D but apart from those, not a lot.
Just want Pentax to bring out some extreme teles now.

Silver DA Limiteds - Yummy!

I have always thought the FA limiteds looked classy, even on a Black body. Now the Silver DA's to match.
Must start saving......

A friend of mine is already thinking of getting one (lucky so and so....)
He's a Canon user and was jealous of the mighty Nikon version.

Still, I think I would prefer the FA* 250-600 lens instead, if I can find one and the money.
( I have to say that to avoid lens envy..........)

Another vote for the 35mm F2.4
Small light and sharp. Perfect for walkabout

Win XP is very stable, as long as you have SP3 and all the security updates. In fact it is the best Microsoft OS up to and including the hateful Vista. Why do you think businesses kept it and not go to Vista?
However Win7 is in another league! Now that Win7 is on SP1, now is the time to upgrade.
I Still have XP on both my Desktop and Lappy, but an older laptop, I have put Win7 on it. The only thing it won't run is the enhanced graphics (or Aero as MS call it) However, with only 1.5GB RAM and only 32bit, it is far faster then my newer Lappy still running XP with 3GB RAM.
So much so, that my newer lappy will be upgraded to Win7 accordingly. It will even run 64Bit, which is faster still........

If it makes people buy them, then I am all for it!
However not my cup of tea. I prefer the Black, silver, Gold (yes, harks to those limited edition film cameras of yore) and Olive green - great for nature.

K-x v K10D
Tough choice.

Advantages of the K10D over the K-x
Fully sealed
dual dials
build
Great colour rendition from the CCD (as opposed to CMOS)
lit AF points
Pentaprism
TAv mode
Ability to have a grip

Advantages of the K-x over the K10D
Smaller
Lighter
Faster FPS
more resolution
AA batteries (might be a disadvantage)
ISO performance.

Like I say, tough choice.
