I prefer the first one. I think it's because the eye falls on the in focus blossom in the center. With the second the center is the out of focus branch.
Is that because I saw the first, first? What would have happened if they were presented in reverse order?

Thanks Barrie. You have chosen the one taken with the DA50. I think you are right, I was probably a little too sparing with the aperture with the siggy shot. It was at F3.5 and considering it was 1/2000 sec, I should have stopped down to F8 and still have enough speed.
The blue is a little darker due to the second shot actually been taken 1 hour later too.
