Hello All,
This weeks competition is up and open for entries. The theme is Making/Manufacture.
This week I'd like to see your photographs that relate to making or manufacture, past or present. This could be industrial or arts and crafts, I'm even happy to have images of historic factories and equipment as long as the content of the image relates to something being made past or present. Please do have a go and join in this weekly bit of fun.
The usual weekly rules apply, images have to be taken with a Pentax camera or accepted clone. Images can be taken for the competition or from your archives. The winner of the competition will be expected to set and judge next week competition.
Closing date for entries is midnight Sunday 7th
Best regards
Nigel

All interesting but agree with davidwozhere, No.2 really works as a composition.
I hope you are enjoying your new 11-18mm, I think it's a mighty fine lens

Having dug deep for the Pentax 11-18mm I no longer need my trusty used Sigma 10-20mm
I bought it new from SRS. The lens is in good condition with original box, pouch and front and rear caps and the hood, which is cracked. I dropped the hood when attaching it one time and it bounced on rocks which cracked it through in one location, the lens has never been bashed or dropped. I have used insulation tape to hold the crack together and it still attaches fine. The lens has not really had a great deal of use and is in good nick.
I was thinking offers around £100 for the lens.
I'm in Suffolk and very happy to have the lens inspected and checked out. Images below.

The first and third look like the same shot to me, I like both versions. The middle shot is missing some of the fore-water drama that the others have.

I think you have answered your own question. You are happy with the output of the Pentax lens (as am I) and don't use the Samyang much. Sadly the size images that can be uploaded to PU are too small to make any meaningful judgement.
Regarding the DA*11-18mm I have it and I can't think that anyone who buys it would be disappointed. In my unscientific comparisons with my Sigma 10-20mm lens the Pentax wins every time but, so it should at the price difference. The Sigma is capable of very good results by the way.

I'm in complete agreement with LennyBloke and Rick.
Beautiful work
