mikew;
I like mangos more than figs!
(A consideration sarcastically comparable to yours)

Its going to have the same sensor 10mp as the K200, but less features, making it ideal for the beginner / entry level market. Simple dials, no lcd top plate, probably no penta=mirror, a simple camera to use, comparable to the nikon d60 and the canon 1000d.
We are all waiting for the announcement of a new flagship, but no news yet...

I just woke up, sunday morning, 8:15, ready for work...
I am really sorry I offended you with my sarcastic comment, I honestly meant no offence at all, and I apologise for not praising your efforts.
I hope you will excuse my bad joke, which, really, had absolutely nothing to do with your photographic skills, but rather with a 'legend' of this forum!
As per the challenge; I love challenges, and would love to show off all my macro work; unfortunately I don't do macro at all, and I have big difficulties raising up to the challenge. I post one photograph, and i think its the closest I get to macro
And because it was shot in MF, I think nobody can say that its shot with the old DS....
I hope you will accept my apologies,
Nathan

Its an amazing lens, but its not as good as the DA*. And for the price difference, there would be no doubt in my mind!
Again, longer zoom means more reach, but not more quality, IMO.
Also, once you go beyond 50mm, you really want to be careful what you shoot with, and any prime or DA* lens will give you very very good results.
What if you bought the 16-50, and then the 70ltd or the 77ltd? wouldn't that be a treat?
I learnt at my expenses that its much better to wait and get the best, rather than compromise on money and quality.
Hope this helps,
Nathan

I think the price will justify itself, as with the other limited lenses, there must be a "high standard range"....
I would love to try in depth the various primes on the K20 sensor; I have recently noticed that the IQ of these lenses almost surpasses the definition of the 10mp sensor of the K10. Anybody else had this impression?

This one was shot last night, and later processed to give a good film grain look.
Shot taken with 50mm f1.4 1/10 sec ISO 1600.
I don't like the photo itself, but I am very pleased with the result of the post production, as this was my main intent, I wasn't shooting the gig, I was there for pleasure, and only took a few 'artistic' shots.

I studied in america for too long... not only I use the meter instead of the metre, but I also acquired the great skill of 'not being able to spell' so popular in america...

Wow what a shot, absolutely beautiful focus, and composition.
What tamron is this?
I am not so sure I like the bokeh, which is very nice, but I became spoiled recently...
Great great shot, a pleasure to look at.
