The German Pentax site has a new roadmap up - dated 22 September.

I guess they realised they'd put it up too early and have removed it. Shame. Hopefully it will be back up on Monday.

Not perhaps on topic, but the link is to tinyurl.com. My firewall/virus software will not even let me access anything at that location. It is often used to host hackers, id theft sites and the like.

I know several good sites there but still, I'd be hesitant to trust a site hosted there if it supposed to be for a large company. (Most companies want to use their own URL for their websites.)

Amoringello - it's not TinyURL that's the problem... it links to Pentax.de who apparently have removed the JPG
Looks like a tiny error in their website updates. Whoops!

Still, my virus software won't let me access anything hosted at tinyurl.com for the reasons I stated.

I assume tinyurl.com is one of those free or cheap hosting sites?

If so, I stand by what I said about them in general... we used to set up free sites to test certain aspects of our theftware and deterrent software (yeah, we surfed a fine line between both sides - depending how law enforcement chose to use our stuff). Regardless, we weren't the only ones using free sites for that purpose, and not all sites have someone with morals governing their use by the public.

I'd just be careful with where you travel.
There are literally kit-viruses out there from five years ago (basic virus building blocks that script-kiddies use) that still cannot be detected by the latest virus scanners and software firewalls. It is so simple to get past a lot of the current detection methods.

If you go to these sites you risk being infected and there will be no warnings at all!! We were able to get past the latest by EOD, Norton, McAffee, ZoneAlarm and others.

A lot can be done by visiting a website if you're not careful!!

Tinyurl is a great facility, and totally harmless, as far as I am aware. You feed in a ridiculously long three-line URL and it spits out a much shorter one.

Ah... strange. I agree, sounds harmless enough.
I wonder why I'm being "hassled" to not visit those sites.

I suppose by hiding the true destination, it can be a "risk".
I'll have to contact ZoneLabs. If that is all it does, they should be blocking the redirected addresses, not all of TinyUrl.

Amoringello - that's probably why TinyURL is blocked. Literally any website can be linked with TinyURL - genuine or malicious - and you have no way of knowing which it will be until you click the link.

TinyURL itself isn't to blame - just the way that others might mis-use that service to do drive-by web attacks

Funny that you are having problems with tinyURL - I use Zone Alarm and can access tiny links no problem.

Pentax now has 19 lenses in its range. They're getting there.

Shame about the DA* 30mm, but there's not a lot wrong with the 31mm Ltd. In fact, I shall be surprised if the 30mm turns out to represent an improvement optically, though of course matters like weather-sealing and SDM will be in its favour.

The one that intrigues me the most is the mysterious, unspecified DA Super telephoto in the future lenses section. It would be interesting to know what that is, and whether it will appear in any of our lifetimes .
