Pentax K-m

Anyone else seen the details about the Pentax K-m model? I'd be interested on where people think it's likely to fit into the line-up, as I've just purchased a K200D .
I am assuming it's not a direct replacement for either the K20 or K200, as they are relatively new.
Found some details here;
http://catetoblog.blogspot.com/2008/09/new-entry-level-pentax-k-m.html
They're a bit sketchy, so may not be entirely correct.

Thanks,
Giles

The K-m Is going to be smaller than the K200 and K20.
Its going to have the same sensor 10mp as the K200, but less features, making it ideal for the beginner / entry level market. Simple dials, no lcd top plate, probably no penta=mirror, a simple camera to use, comparable to the nikon d60 and the canon 1000d.

All? I think not - personally I couldn't give a fig if they introduce 15 flagships!

Maybe this is the flagship? In which case Don will be happy.

I quite like the look of the K-m; add a couple of DA Limiteds and you've got a nice little lightweight kit. I've been eyeing the Oly 420 and their 25/2.8 pancake but this K-m would have in-body SR and be able to use all my other lenses if need be. I'm really looking forward to seeing the full specs next week!

Seems as if it's going to be called K2000 in some markets!

It doesn't look VERY small (only very slightly smaller than the *ist DS), and it'll be rubbish to have no LCD on the top. Disappointing.

The DA L (lightened) lenses are interesting, though. Is the DA L 18-55 a version of the mark II 18-55 or the mark I?

Cheers, HG

Mustn't forget the Zenits, or folders, or...

PPG entries.

According to the spec here, lens hoods are optional.
