Not sure why the KP was discontinued, having used FF almost exclusively for quite a while I bought a mint Silver KP a few months ago and have been so impressed with it. If you can find a "new old stock" KP at a good price I'd recommend it highly
The evidence for the answer to your query is in your post, Lenny. The KP was discontinued because it is too good! Pentax must have decided that, at under £1000, it was too much competition for their expensive new K-3iii. Given the demand for the KP both new and used, at that point and since, they were probably right (but I'm pleased to have bought mine before then). There might be a new APS-C DSLR in the future but perhaps more likely at the K-70 level rather than that of the KP.

All nice shots and my favourite is the first one - moody in black and white.

An interesting set, Gareth. I like No.2 in the colour images for the contrast of old and new, No.16 in the mono shots, and No.18 for its composition.

A pleasant set - they have a timeless quality (regarding the year of capture), particularly the mono.

Thank you, David - I haven't been able to find the weight of the lead spire, only that (perhaps not surprisingly, given the age of the church) it is supported by a wooden structure.

Thank you for your comment, Kris.

Thanks also, LB. The comparison I found interesting (although obviously not a fair one!) is that the MX-1 cost me £180, about one tenth the price of a K-3iii.

A good set and a good point above regarding contrast. I like number 7 (with an adjustment to vertical perspective to make the trees as near upright as possible). I also like the direction of the light in number 1 (with the image for me being the three trees to the right of the silver birch tree trunk).

I like the original eggsample - but perhaps reverse it to make 'springtime'.

Wonderful images. Your photos sustain the beauty of the flowers during their demise.
