It's good that the thought became an action, resulting in a good set of photos! Number 7 is an unusual shot (to me) - I don't know what it is but I like it!

I had a visitor this morning. The A380 of the group - a bumblebee - came in to explore all the downstairs rooms for about 20 minutes before finding its way out again.

I haven't taken much notice of the bees in my garden but on a walk along the canal towpath yesterday there seemed to be lots visiting the bramble flowers there.

Another for number 9, along with 1 and 2, but I enjoy them all.

I enjoy IR mono images - 6, 7 and 8 for me.

Thank you.

I like the MX-1 for its quality and compact convenience, and I've always wished for an upgrade to MX-2, with a 1 inch sensor and a viewfinder.

Thanks to those above for your comments.

The images were captured on a high contrast day, so the MX-1's D-Range settings were switched on and the exposure set to keep the highlights on the histogram. In the images the foreground shadow areas were rather dark, so they were lifted using PaintShop Pro's fill-light tool. Other tweaks included some perspective adjustment, slightly increasing the blue in the sky, and adding a bit of local contrast (clarity).

Keeps changing but at present it is a Pentax KP + DA 21 + DA 40 + DA 70 - can't get much more compact for such a high quality DSLR system.
