I agree. The second one has lots more potential yet - how about turning just the egg part through 90 degrees?

The miniature Daff's Mrsm8 purchased yesterday, some have opened so I couldn't resist, 2 mins to set up, 2 pieces of black card, subject and a splash of natural light.
again 120mm macro - 1.3 seconds - F10 - 100 iso
I did try turning the Egg 90 deg, imo it didn't work as the reflection looked wrong, but did come up with this

Actually they look perfect when clicked and viewed on a dark background as opposed to the white browser background.
