Hey this is getting scary - been awake too long today. Just realised I put the card in the K10 not the K20. So no joy with the K10.
K20 works fine so back to square 1...

I have not put the firmware upgrade on the K7 as not sure what extra this provides. I wonder if it gives 8GB support?? Anyone shed any light on the matter?

Put the card in the K20 and it came up card error etc. Can't format card in K20 or on PC. However, the pc shows 34 images on the card. So must be a duff card

It is the 30mb/s edition. I will have to try the card in another camera. Could have tried my K20 or K10 "Doh"

I have been experiencing problems with the above SD Card in my K7. When I first put the card in the camera and took a photo, there was a message telling me that no image had been recorded. I re-formatted the card and I then took about a dozen images. The images recored ok but then the card appeared to become corrupt again. I formatted the card in the camera - but still have problems. I contacted the Sandisk tech help today and they reckon one of two things. Does my K7 recognise 8GB Cards? I would hope so...
The card is faulty - apparently not unknown with this type of media...
Using a 4gb Extreme III card does not give any problems at all.

Just thought there might be some ideas out there.

Oh yes - the Tech support stated that they may replace the card if it was purchased from a registered (with them) authorised Sandisk dealer. Card was a present - so need to find out where it was purchased

Don't think I will be signing up for an account any time soon

Gitzo production shut down in August for their annual holiday. It seems they have yet to catch up with the lost production...

Sometimes use Picasa for a quick resize of image or sharpen. If anything else I use CS3. Other lenses show up in the exif!
