I noticed that quite a few members have submitted photographs to the Pentax Photo Gallery (PPG).
I recently, and successfully , submitted 6 images to the PPG. The photos took about two weeks from submission to publication (with a few declined). However, after submitting half a dozen more, they have been awaiting review for nearly a month now
So I was wondering what the members that subscribe to the PPG experience as being the average time from submission to, either being declined or approved, tends to be

Hi all,
Been looking to invest in a tripod for a while now, but haven't been decide on within my budget (under £100 if I'm honest), as they all seem to be limited in some respect.
In short, I'm after a tripod which is sturdy enough in normal (i.e. not hurricane) conditions, light enough not to be a severe burden if carried on my back for a few hours, ball head and able to get low down.
One tripod I have seen is the RedSnapper RS-284 & RSH-12 Ball Head, which comes in at £99. It seems to be (note seems, I have only seen pictures) well made and sturdy (better than the more lightweight offerings from the likes of Manfrotto at this price point) with a good quality ball head.
Does anyone have any experience of the RedSnapper range? Alternatively, can anyone suggest a suitable alternative?
Also, my one worry is becasue of the size of a regular tripod, I would end up not taking out more often than not, thus negating the point of purchasing it. As an alternative I was wondering whether something like the Gorillapod SLR Zoom with the ball head might be a good alternative. Although by no means a straight replacement for a traditional tripod, the fact that it would always be in my bag might count in its favour.
Any thoughts?
this link is exploring similar territory. I suppose it is a subject we all come up against in time.
I have 3 manfrottos 144, 144, 190B. A Benbo Mk1 and 3 other non mainstream tripods. All have their good and bad points. I finally started to give the matter serious thought - after I took the plunge a couple of years ago and bought the FA*600F4. Well after a purchase like that, tripods and heads become a major issue. The tripod has to be stable and capable of supporting the weight - as does the head. So after years of collecting tripods and a variety of ball heads, pan and tilt heads etc and after much deliberation and reading many reviews, it came down to a Wimberley MKII Gimble Head and a Gitzo 5531S.
Loads of the readies I admit, but I feel my need for tripods has been sated. (The house was millstone round the neck for too long:roll
After all the rambling this doesnt probably help the cause, but I thought what the heck I will add my two pence worth - having been there many times before
