I have a reversing ring for a 49mm thread 50mm lens. What I want is the opposite. Instead of the ring being positive K bayonet to positive 49mm thread I want it to be K bayonet female to 49mm female so that I can put it on the end of my reversed lens and fit my Pentax 080 ring flash onto the front. Any ideas anyone on how to fit a 080 ring flash onto the end of a reversed 50mm K fit lens?. CHEERS Vic.
If you have an old 49mm filter and a cheap extension tube set (just for the parts!) you could try this link I put this together in an hour or so and it works just like the real pentax item!
Hang on a minute mayday. You copied my idea and even posted in my thread, so why not link to my thread on this forum instead of PentaxForums? You could at least have the courtesy to acknowledge my thread here, though I appreciate the acknowledgement on the other forum.
Hi Pete - my apologies for the oversight - just came in from work and was scanning the forum when I saw the post and thought I know a good way to solve the problem and dashed off a response. Just come back from dinner and posted this. I knew there was a thread on this forum but just couldn't find it readily. Apologies once again

First job, is to remove the finishing ring, from the front of the lens.

This is done by cutting a double sided sticky pad into 4 pieces, and sticking them to the ring, as in the above picture.

We now place an M42 rear lens cap on the pads and press down firmly.

PayPal - no pal of mine at the moment. Paid for item using PayPal. Vendor was not able to deliver the goods so refunded my payment via PayPal. PayPal cancelled the refund as they said the transaction was pending??? Try to get sense out of PayPal!!! All automated QA site that tended to send me around in circles. Have copied suppliers email to PayPal (Finally found a way through the maze), and a copy of PayPal Cancelled refund email - now have to wait - up to 72 hours!!! for a response. I have used PayPal for the last 3-4 years without incident - I hear more stories of the PayPal way and I think it is time for another company to remove the PayPal monopoly...
Fully agree on the monopoly bit but the problem with that is that PayPal and eBay are fully interlinked and actually have the same owners. So if you take on one you have to take on the other as well. That's what happened in Australia a while back and at the end eBay and PayPal over there lost in the courts. Here, we just take it on the chin, stand up and carry on as usual as there is no alternative (on eBay) allowed. I would prefer so much Google Checkout but you are not even allowed to mention it anywhere or your listings get pulled.

The only way to get them is via the banking law and I do not know how far (if any) I will get but I will not rest till they couch up compensation for costs as they have broken the law.

As for the help system. What help system??? All you get is a standard badly written computerised message back that they understand you and that they will look in to it and that's the end. If you call them it cost you a fortune to speak to someone that does not even understand what you are phoning them about because it is not on their computer screen.

Its a pain but it seems we just love it as otherwise someone somewhere in this 'glorious country of ours' would have looked a bit closer in to their dealings.

Kind regards

My dealings still ongoing but managed to get a "Cheaper" phone number for PayPal in London link It is a useful site that provides alternative phone numbers for companies who insist on 0870 premium rate numbers. Also found this Anti PayPal site link
I received the standard useless email from PayPal that clearly shows how little interest they take in a case and how matter of factly they dismiss the problem. Having spoked to a human being at last, I managed to get a little further forward with my claim. Await the next move by PayPal. I'll give them a week!

It's ok sitting up the front...Us mere mortals would have engine cowlings, leading edge or flaps messing up our composition from our vantage point in the rear. Lovely cloud formations and sense of space and height...

If using the Pentax AF160FC Ring flash, there is a special adapter included in the kit, for use with the DFA Macro - it fits in place of a lens hood and the flash mounts on it instead...
