Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro, Sigma 10-20 f.4-5.6.EX DC, Hoya 135 f2.8, Take on 28mm f2.8 Pentax AF360 flash, 2 fill in slaves. 30 metre remote release, Rt angle viewfinder, Giotto NOT 3261B Tripod with Manfrotto 808Rd4 ball head, Manfroto 4861RC2 monopoly, shoulder stock, various filters etc, Panasonic SET HBS HD Video cam, Tamrac Explorer 8x backpack and a sore back.....

It's ok sitting up the front...Us mere mortals would have engine cowlings, leading edge or flaps messing up our composition from our vantage point in the rear. Lovely cloud formations and sense of space and height...

Astonishing shots, particularly the first one. I've never seen anything quite like it. Would make a fine large print.

Thanks for the comments! It's actually fairly rare to get so lucky with clouds and light at the same time. It was after avoiding storms using the weather radar for hours in the dark that finally, when the sun came up, we had these views, rather than flashes of lightning and a picture on the radar. I hope one day (before I retire) some company (hopefully Pentax?) will produce a camera capable of photographing clouds lit up by lightning!.

I thought you were referring to the monsoon which has caused so much damage in Pakistan this year

I will be in Melbourne again at the end of the month again I-berg and Jackie will be with me. I will pm you the dates be great to meet up if you are around. This last trip I was called out at short notice.
Going to Shanghai tonight so hoping to get a few shots of the Himalayas on the way weather permitting.
