So I'm oriented to buy just a polarizer filter and maybe a ND later to be used when condition requires.

Just bought this Sigma 17-70 and I feel it is not sharp at all. I have posted some pictures below and I would really appreciate to hear what other think.
Back/front focus issues?

In which condition shall I do the test?
I did the 3 batteries test for F/B and looked fine to me, but now I have doubts

Can I use them together or do I risk a degree of vignetting?
To aovid that, do you think is better to get a larger polarizer filter +adaptor or a thinner polarizer filter (the Pro1)?

Hope it is only an uncorrect rumour!

and for mentioning the Tamarac expedition and the Kata3n1.
Tamrac expedition seems similar to the Lowepro Mini trekker AW, same advantages and defects – fantastic transportability but no quick access.
the Kata 3n1 maybe is the best for its versatility (one or 2 straps) and quick access. – only defect much more expensive!
Definately agree with that, for every feature you gain, you lose one!
Unfortunately I can't try the backpacks for practical reason - I'm new in Plymouth, don't know any "colleague" and can't find any big shop.
Probably I will take the fastpack 200, the price is very cheap (£33) and take under control the Kata and another smaller backpack.

Using a lens hood to protect a lens can be quite detrimental, if the lens hood takes a knock it can severely damage the delicate screw thread on the lens itself - not a good idea.
I would personally purchase a Hoya UV Pro digital filter, when you need to use your polriser carefully remove the UV. John Riley is quite correct about cleaning the lens element, only when absolutely necessary.
Hope this helps you.
