Me personally I haven't bought any photo processing software but tend to use free stuff of the web due to the fact I do very little PP. I may alter the exposure and maybe the WB, I have even dabbled with levels but that's about it I am afraid.

This I think is more down to being not that great with computers and a bit long in the tooth to start learning, but my hat goes off to those who can make a picture pop if you know what I mean and who can use these types of software to great effect.

But give me a darkroom with a Dichroic enlarger, a nice Leitz lens and a load of funny shaped pieces of cardboard on pieces of wire with the house to myself for the weekend and I am one happy bunny and maybe a PP freak.

I also am struggling to look at the pages on here for too long, I find that whilst I am reading, the text starts to become blurred and I have to look away for a few moments before returning to view, I too am finding it very uncomfortable.

There is definitely something not quite right, but web design is something I know very, very little about so I can't offer up any possible suggestions to rectify the problem, all I can do is give my personal view.

I think the font, which isn't bold enough combined with the glaring white background and to much open and unused space is my main concern, to be honest it's that bright it can light up our whole lounge when viewed on my iPad.

Don't get me wrong I do like the cleaner and uncluttered pages, but maybe it's just a bit to much on the clinical side, like I said before these are only my views and that I have no understanding of web design or what goes into it, but something needs to be altered somewhere along the line.

I don't know, both on my PC and iPads it's awful, but on my phone it's great, there us just to much dead space and to much scrolling.

On a plus note the text is very clear, but I can feel it's going to end up giving me a headache if I stare at it for to long.

Bring back the old site, but maybe it will grow on me, but going to have to turn the brightness down a bit.

Now it's the lack of proper grip which appeals as I am thinking fitting it with a nice 21mm or 40mm limited and then it could slip into a coat pocket or side pouch on my bag.

If I was 30 years younger I can see the attraction. But after handling one I can see me buying a used one as a second body as the specs seem fantastic for the money.

So put me down for a love it.

No of course not ... why would it be a joke?
Sorry I thought we had dropped all the trying to re educate in the literacy sense. As for Algi's comment ????

I personally hope you will reconsider and keep posting questions. Plenty of people here want to help. But its nice if you can say a little thanks and let people know you have taken the advice and feedback how things are going. That makes poeple feel appreciated and is a good thing. If you are able to put capital letters in at the right places that's also good and can help people reading your posts.

Why not stick with it?
Seriously, you are joking, aren't you?

Look, its unfortunate that this has headed this way .. I didn't want the OP to go away. I hope he has got his k5 manual and it is useful. I for one would be most happy to try and help with any other questions, with or without capital letters. But I would remind him that its nice to acknowledge the help, and people appreciate that.

Lets not turn this into another 'Nigel & Marat' thing Because its not!
It's nothing to do with a Nigel & Marat thing, whatever that is, it's about the disgusting and offensive comments made without any thought by members who are still stuck in the 19th century.

That's odd, I didn't read Algernon's comment as rude, but simply him pointing out a truth: punctuation, grammar and spelling do matter.

It's actually quite disrespectful, as well as unhelpful, when photographers offer posts to which little thought has been given to literary conventions. One of the pleasures of this forum is the generally erudite nature of the comments.

Yep Nigel, my fanciful imagination all in black & white above.
