A further question Matt in response to one of your answers :-
Does the Flash have to be put in the hotshoe to synch the channels each time one wishes to use wireless synch.?
You only need to re-synch (fit flash to camera and power on) the communication channel if you change it on the flash. It'll be re-synch'd each and every time you fit flash to camera anyway.

It is possible in a studio setup to have multiple cameras and multiple flashes. Each camera/flash/subject combination would then be set to different channels to avoid interference between setups.

Set the popup flash to wireless master or control (master contributes light to the composition, control does not).
Set the flash to Wireless Slave mode 1 (mode 2 is dumb slave) by pressing and holding the Light button.
The camera 'reads' the flashes communication channel when you attach flash to camera and power both on.
The external wirless flash does not zoom with the lens, for that you'll need a cable but it's not really relevant anyway since the flash is detached from the camera and the flash to subject distance is no longer the same as lens to subject distance. Set the flashes zoom manually.

Pentax UK have always been obliging to me. I needed a mechanical diagram for a 16-45mm DA lens a while back. They sent me a .PDF within a few minutes.

Try using an older non-pttl flash mounted on the camera and set the slaves to slave mode 2. P-TTL is not used in this setup.

I must call into a shop sometime and see what the K10D feels like
Take your credit card or cheque book. You will not want to give it back once you've handled it.

IMHO, other than the MZ-S, the MZ-6 is the best of the film SLR's as it has wireless control of the AF360/540FGZ flashes. Avoid any MZ models ending in 0 (MZ-30, MZ50 etc) if you want full compatibility with older K or M lenses. MZ-6 bodies do appear on ebay from time to time and you can expect to pay around £100.00 for a good one.

Did you get your complimentary copy of Adobe Lightroom.

I got a surprise email from Adobe this morning containing a link to a free complimentary copy of Lightroom 1.0. Apparantly this will go out to all RawShooterPremium users and Lightroom beta testers.

Well done Adobe. I was expecting a reduced price offer, but not a free copy and with the release of ACR supporting Pentax K10D PEF's, I'm sorted. I just need PhaseOne to finish version 3.7.7 of CaptureOne LE.

When/If you visit your link, be sure to make a note of your Serial Number as it will be displayed one time only.

All I need now is the time to play . . . . .

Cheers,
